Al Barrett and his wife were on the first leg of a mission trip
to Tanzania and Kenya in 1998. Seated next to Al was a Jewish man who happened to be a Lawyer from Detroit. Before
he left the plane in Detroit he reached into his wallet, gave Al some money, and said, "Put this where it will sow in
the Kingdom of God". With the money, Al bought the first sewing machine for a tribe near Mount Kilimanjaro called
the Chagga people. The Jewish man told Al he was being led by the Holy Spirit to give a donation.
That seed money has now grown to a mountain of donated thread, materials, and sewing machines. Approximately
$80,000 worth of thread alone and hundreds of sewing machines, both electric and foot petal, have been donated.
Now the promise of free fabric has come. We have been praying and believing that God would reveal where and who will
receive it. Now it is unfolding.
