Dear Friends,

Modern day Maasai shepherds watch over their cattle, sheep and goats. Much like the Lord watches over us.  Only now they need Hope to rebuild their herds as a terrible drought in Kenya has wiped out many of their animals. People, as well, are suffering and dying because of the lack of rain. The good news is that the Lord has finally answered prayers and some rain is coming and the grass is beginning to sprout.  Too late for many, but to those who remain, the challenge is great to rebuild what was lost.  Thank God for the rain! As 2009 comes to a close,     we at Threads of Hope reflect on how gracious and wonderful is the God we serve.  Together, you and Team Threads of Hope are bringing Hope to a hurting world.  Our Maasai ministry partners in Kenya and others around the world are grateful for your support that has enabled many to do the impossible  Earn a living and the chance to hear the Gospel, and transform their lives! 95% of the non -Christians that attend our sewing outreach classes become Christians! God is rising up widows, orphans, and pastors through the help of Threads of Hope. This has been a very busy year, and a busy 12 years of bringing Hope through sewing outreaches around the globe.  Our presence is known in over 22 countries because of your prayers and support, and especially by the Grace of God and His unique way of providing our needs.  He blesses us to bless others!  The more we do this, the more we realize how much God loves us, and healing takes place often in our own lives.    Ways we were able to serve this year: 1.       Purchased and delivered 5 motorcycles to Pastors in Kenya and audio solar powered      Bibles in February 2.       Brought a sewing training team to La Ceiba Honduras in March3.       Gail & I and Mary Molina ministered in Kenya September/October4.       Sent 12 more sewing machines and material to Honduras valued at $10,000 in November5.       Delivered more than 100 sewing machines and literately tons of fabrics to Kenya, Honduras,         Cuba, and India 6.       Started 2 new sewing outreaches in Kenya ( now have 12 ) and Uganda7.       Purchased 18 new sewing machines for graduating students in North India where   11 churches have been started because of sewing outreaches there!.       Delivered food and the Gospel to widows in Kenya and Hospital visitations there as well9.       Met with leadership partners in Kenya, Honduras, and India10.   Laid ground work for a new Threads of Hope Building to be built in Ngoswani, Maasailand11.   Attended 5 mission conferences in the USA and a church dedication in Ngoswani, Kenya Our hope for next year is to build a Maasai Sewing Training Center in Ngoswani, Kenya.  Land has been donated to us for this project - PTL!  Plans are being submitted for construction; and this facility will house 50 sewing machines.  It will be a training center and a sewing Co-op for widows to make and sell their items at the store which will be at the front of the Sewing Center.  The cost to build the facility is $29,000 for a 40 by 60 foot structure. It will be solid stone with a metal roof. Very similar to the new Church building that was built last year. We already have $7,000 donated for this project. What a way to be able to bless many hundreds who would not have a chance otherwise to earn a living to feed and clothe their families.  Would you consider being a part of this life changing project and partner with us?
Give a gift that keeps on giving… a Sewing Machine!!
Romans 15:13
“May the God ofHope fill you with all
joy and peace as you trust in Him,
so that you mayoverflow with hope
by the power ofthe Holy Spirit”
Building of a Threads of Hope Sewing Center in Ngoswani, Kenya is within our reach.  The timing is right!  Since we first entered this village in 2004, answers to prayer have been manifest.  A deep well, a school building, and a new Clinic, a new church building; 7 motorcycles for pastors; all this where there was nothing but a few mud huts.  This area is on the perimeter of a vast wilderness area with tribal people living in primitive ways.  This Center will help bring the Gospel to hundreds and help them earn a living. We are dedicated to equip and train the Africans to teach other Africans. We will need a generator, step down transformers and teams to go in 2010 to support this awesome project. Think in terms of eternity as you give.  It is what God did when He gave His Gift to us…Jesus Christ, Emmanuel
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
